International Construction Design & Management Limited
A company based at Birmingham Airport has recently expanded into additional office space, thanks to a grant provided by the Business Growth Programme.
Established in 1994, International Constructions & Management Limited (ICDM) is a specialist firm of Construction Design and Engineering Professionals, with proven expertise across many sectors.
The company wanted to move into the energy and environmental market, so needed to expand its premises to accommodate its growing workforce. The investment was essential to enable ICDM to realise its long term expansion plans, but with estimated project costs of £40,300, the company looked to the Business Growth Programme for financial support.
ICDM’s grant application was sccessful and it was awarded £20,000 of grant funding from the Business Growth Programme (BGP), which is a £33m programme of business support aimed at B2B SMEs based in The Greater Birmingham & Solihull, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire and the Marches Local Enterptise Partnership areas. BGP is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and managed by Birmingham City Council.
With the grant funding in place, the company is now on track to complete the new office space by the end of February 2017, when they will have the ability to accommodate the required additional staff, with two new hires planned for April 2017.
The owner of ICDM, Mr Peter Bowers, said “The country needs to reduce its unnecessary energy wastage and environmental CO2 emissions, saving money which, believe it or not, stands at about 70% of the energy generated is wasted.
We use knowledge, experience and the discretion of “The ICDM team” to lead by managing the risk of both supply and demand. Gaining a shared reward, creating a sustainable future, with minimal wastage, by introducing innovative solutions and sharing our success.
Encouraging, education, participation, with scientific and innovative engineering solutions to help the UK lead the world in Social and economic, evolution.
We needed to increase the number of consultants and employees, however our current offices were not big enough to cater for more staff and constrained expansion. The opportunity to create a bespoke office, within in a historic building, made it possible for ICDM to complete with the asistance of the Business Growth Programme.
Our future is in your hands, help us to understand and manage these local and global changes, we can share tomorrow’s success by creating new jobs”
