Detailed guidance on the application process is now available on:  www.birmingham.gov.uk/greenbridge

Please note that this competition closes on the 9th August 2013

The Green Bridge Grants programme is aimed at SMEs operating in the Low Carbon/Green economy and those looking to diversify into these sectors.

Green Bridge is a £20m programme funded by the RGF (Regional Growth Fund) and will operate across six LEPs (Greater Birmingham and Solihull, Black Country, Coventry and Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire, and The Marches). It is designed to encourage sustainable economic growth by strengthening and developing supply chain companies requiring between £20,000 and £100,000 funding in the development of new markets and products, skills development and/or capital investment. More detail can be obtained from a City Council presentation (click here).

The MEBC team is working closely with Birmingham City Council to ensure that West Midlands businesses are aware of the programme and submit successful applications.

We understand that the programme is expected to be launched in two weeks’ time (end of May). The City Council will be running 1:1 surgeries and MEBC plans to support this with information as we have it and a further workshop to let members know how to take advantage of this support once the final details are published.
